Moel Ferna Mine

This slate mine is a popular and interesting trip for explorers who can use SRT or ladder/lifeline to descend the 40' air shaft as all the adits have been blown in or collapsed. The mine has a waymarked path nearby and recently information signs on its history have been erected near the ruined buildings. The mine has a total of seven levels interconnected by inclines or spoil heaps, but the lower ones are under water. There are quite a few artifacts and several unusual features which are worth seeing.
